William (Bill) Jennings Forbes, age 81, of 867 East Cleveland Avenue, Vinton, passed away Sunday. He was a retired office manager for Rust Engineering of Birmingham. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Carroll Forbes; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas C. and Mattie Forbes, Vinton; Ronnie D. and Belva Forbes, Roanoke; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 1991, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bill Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
