EUBANK, PAUL D.

Paul Delarue Eubank, age 72, of Daleville, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 30, 1991. He was a distinguished retired Air Force veteran and a veteran of World War II, serving with the 585th B-26 Bomb Group in the E.T.O. He was also a 38 year retired air traffic controller-supervisor based at Woodrum Field from 1948 to 1976. He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen and a member of the Air Force Association. Mr. Eubank served as an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 26, Northminster Presbyterian Church, was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was also a member of Williamson Road Lodge No. 163 A.F. and A.M., a member of Kazim Shrine Temple, and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Mr. Eubank was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 284, Salem. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Helen W. Eubank; four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald E. and Sandra R. Eubank, Bruce M. and Debbie B. Eubank, all of Roanoke; Paul K. and Cindy M. Eubank, Blue Ridge; Gary R. and Mary Ann Eubank, Rome, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Donald E. Eubank II, Sgt. U.S. Army, Fort Ord, Calif.; Jeffery W. Eubank, E-2, U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif.; Regina L. Eubank, Michael P. and Mark A. Eubank, all of Roanoke; Sarah R. Eubank, Blue Ridge; Megan D. and Brian S. Eubank, Rome, Ga.; a great-grandson, Matthew K. Eubank, Fort Ord, Calif.; a sister, Glenna E. Moore, Marlinton, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Louella Eubank, Morgantown, W.Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday from Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Michael L. Slaughter officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. If desired, memorials may be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
