SAUL, CLARENCE E.

Clarence Edward Saul, age 85, of Stuarts Draft and formerly of Newport News, died Sunday, March 31, 1991. He was a member of and former Chairman of the Board of Deacons of First Baptist Church, Newport News. He was retired Mechanical Inspector from NASA at Langley Field, Va.; was a member of Breman Lodge #241 AF & AM, Newport News; The Scottish Rite Bodies and Kedive Temple Shrine, Norfolk; also a member of the Peninsula Shrine Club, Newport News. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Merlie R. Saul; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carlton E. and Peggy R. Saul, Daleville; W. Eugene and Barbara L. Saul, Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Michael Saul and wife, Julie W. Saul, Raleigh, N.C.; Lisa S. Snyder and husband, Captain Chris Snyder, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; Jeffrey S. Saul, Stuarts Draft; and sister, Mrs. Melva S. Sink, Newport News. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 with the Rev. Dr. William L. Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Masonic Rites by Breman Lodge #241 AF & AM. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
