WYTHEVILLE - Raymond B. (R.C.) Reece, age 61, of 535 West Spiller Street, died Sunday night in a Winston-Salem, N.C. hospital. He was a retired toll supervisor for the United Inter-Mountain Telephone Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Wright Reece, Wytheville; four sons, Stephen R. Reece, Raleigh, N.C.; Gary D. Reece, Wytheville; Jerry W. Reece, Birmingham, Ala.; Bradley V. Reece, Wytheville; two sisters, Eunice Wynegar, Bristol, Tenn.; Martha Mumpower, Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Robert Reece, San Angelo, Texas; Paul Reece, Macon, Ga.; four grandchildren, Adam Reece, Dana Reece, Bo Reece, and Kerri Reece. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Dr. Thomas Sproule with interment to follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00. The Wytheville Masonic Lodge No. 82 A.F. & A.M. will conduct a memorial service at 8:30 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. The American Legion Post No. 9 will conduct graveside rites. The Grubb Funeral Home, Wytheville, is in charge of the arrangements.
