RICHMOND A FINALIST FOR WOMEN'S FINAL FOUR

The 1994 NCAA Women's Final Four could be headed for Richmond.

Virginia Commonwealth University, which submitted a bid for the city of Richmond, is among the finalists to play host to the 1994 women's college basketball final. The other cities under consideration are Minneapolis and San Diego.

Members of the NCAA Site Committee will be in Richmond on April 9-10 to inspect the Richmond Coliseum and other facilities throughout the city.

VCU was host to first- and second-round games of the men's tournament Southeast Regional in 1990. - Staff report
