EDUCATION FOR VETERANS WINS PRAISE

The veterans education program at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College was recently selected by the U.S. Department of Education as one of three exemplary college programs in Virginia.

The college was chosen for its help to veterans through an emergency loan fund, peer counseling for new students by the Veterans Club, personal counseling in the veteran orientation, and various activities of the Veterans Club.

Nearly 30 students are served by the combined veterans, National Guard and Reserves program at the college.
