Mrs. Gussie Mae Batson Peters, age 85, of Roanoke, died Monday in her home. She is survived by a son, Earl W. Major; one daughter, Mrs. Ida M. Larson; a stepdaughter, Barbara Newson; a stepson, Carl Bernard Peters, Jr.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. H.R. Thompson officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until service time at Lotz Salem Chapel. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Salem Chapel.
