James Lambeth Williams, age 69, of 1120 Panorama Lane, Bedford, died Tuesday, April 2, 1991, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County May 19, 1921, a son of the late P.D. Williams and Emma Newcomb Williams. He was a retired employee of Rubatex Corporation, a veteran of World War II, and was a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Christine Arthur Williams; two sisters, Elsie W. Burford, Goode; Virginia W. Salyerds, Pennington, N.J.; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel will the Rev. Clayton C. Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family suggests those wishing to make memorials consider Timber Ridge Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
