BELLY DANCERS, SINGER FEATURED AT LAKE SHOW

A husband and wife belly-dancing team and a singer from New York will be featured April 12 in the third "Cabaret Nite" at the Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Center.

The dancers are Circe Elektra, who teaches Middle Eastern dancing in Roanoke and Salem, and Elysses Eian. The duo, which performs as "Belly Dancing by Baklava," appeared in last fall's City-State Festival in Greensboro.

The singer is Loxie Daley, who has performed at Harlem's Apollo Theatre and 2001 Space Odyssey in New York. He currently is a teacher in Bedford.

A number of other acts featuring local talent also will be on the program. Music for listening and dancing will be provided by the Southernaires.

The cabaret is presented by the Smith Mountain Arts Council. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m. The admission charge of $7 covers setups, but no spirits will be provided.

There will be no reservations.
