RICHMOND KNOCKS OFF HOKIES

Richmond scored five runs in the seventh inning Tuesday to earn a 13-10 come-from-behind non-conference baseball victory over Virginia Tech.

Thanks to RBI singles from Kevin McNamara, Tom Sciosia and Mark Foster, the Spiders (16-8) turned a 10-8 seventh-inning deficit into an 11-10 lead. First baseman Steve Burton capped the rally with a two-run home run to right field.

The Hokies (13-12) travel to Charlottesville to face the Virginia Cavaliers at 3 p.m. today.
