ROANOKE WOMEN LOSE 1ST GAME OF SEASON

Kim Omlor scored three goals and four others scored two apiece as Lynchburg dealt Roanoke its first loss, 11-8, in Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action on Tuesday.

Jackie Simpson, Donna Hansen, Molly Clark and Andrea Miele scored goals for the Hornets (5-1 overall, 4-0 ODAC).

The sixth-ranked Maroons (5-1, 3-1) were led by Robin Collinson, who had three goals and an assist, and Cortney Dittman who scored three goals. see
