Sylvester Stallone's car and one owned by a tabloid photographer who claimed the actor rammed his vehicle during a chase a week ago have been impounded by Beverly Hills police.

Investigators interviewed Stallone and photographer\ E.L. Woody over the weekend and got conflicting accounts of Thursday's predawn clash on city streets, said Lt. Frank Salcido. No one was injured in the incident.

"We are trying to determine which car hit the other. There is a dispute about it," Salcido said.

Stallone's black Mercedes-Benz 500SL and the photographer's tan Honda Civic were impounded by investigators Monday.

\ Mikhail Gorbachev met with former President\ Richard Nixon in Moscow Tuesday and assured him he is still the same "old Gorbachev," indicating he is not abandoning the reform process.

Presidential spokesman Vitaly Ignatenko said at their Kremlin meeting, the two discussed whether there had been a reversal of Soviet reforms. The spokesman offered no details of the discussion.

Ignatenko said Gorbachev told Nixon that republics seeking independence "must accept the constitutional process." Nixon in turn told Gorbachev that Americans were concerned about events in the breakaway republics of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, Ignatenko said.

Nixon also met Tuesday with Gorbachev's political rival, Russian leader Boris Yeltsin, and hinted he hoped for better relations between the two in the future.

\ Bo Diddley says he enjoyed a resurgence of popularity thanks to Nike shoe commercials he did with another Bo - athlete Bo Jackson.

"I became a new thing all over again," the 62-year-old Diddley said in a recent interview before taping an appearance for The Nashville Network.

In one of the commercials, Jackson talks about knowing it all, but when it comes to music he cannot play the guitar. Didley comments: "Bo, you don't know diddly."

\ Nick Nolte and his wife of seven years,\ Rebecca, have filed for divorce in what was described as a friendly split.

"Nick Nolte and his wife have stressed the divorce is amicable and they will have joint custody of their son," said publicist Paul Bloch, who represents the couple.

The Noltes married on Feb. 19, 1984, and have a 4-year-old son, Brawley King Nolte. They live in Malibu.

\ Pat Sajak and his wife,\ Leslie, bought a $1.28 million riverfront home in Severna Park, Md.

The community between Baltimore and Annapolis is surrounded by fences and security cameras.

She is from Gambrills, five miles west of the wealthy community. They were married in 1989.
