DISCIPLINE ADVISED IN FBI HARASSMENT CASE

An internal FBI inquiry into a case of racial harassment against a black agent has resulted in a recommendation that FBI Director William Sessions consider disciplining 11 employees for their involvement.

Monday, the bureau announced the results of the inquiry, but did not disclose the names of the agents or the punishment they could face. A spokesman for the bureau said Sessions is expected to decide shortly on whether administrative sanctions are warranted.

The action stems from accusations of racial harassment first made in 1983 by Donald Rochon, who was then assigned to the FBI's Omaha field office. His charges have been upheld in administrative inquiries by the Justice Department and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. - New York Times
