MAN INDICTED IN INCIDENT AT TELEVANGELIST'S HOME

A Chesapeake man has been indicted on charges he crashed his car through the gates of religious broadcaster Pat Robertson's home and fired a gun at a security guard.

A grand jury on Monday handed up indictments of attempted assault and use of a firearm in a felony charging George David Bean Jr., 35, in the Feb. 1 incident in which no one was hurt.

Bean said later that he had been rebuffed in his continued attempts to see Robertson. He said he had been troubled by money problems and the recent breakdown of a six-year marriage.
