Mitzi Ann Stafford, age 21, of Salem, died Tuesday at the University of Virginia Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Barry J. and Gail A. Stafford; one brother, Brian Stafford of Salem; paternal grandparents, Gene and Ruth Stafford of Roanoke; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Blanche Adkins of Salem; great-grandmothers, Mrs. Lucy Sartin of Salem; Mrs. Florence Stafford of Roanoke; a special aunt and uncle, Murphy and Louise Wood of Salem; a very special cousin, Hunter Mathew Wood of Salem; special friends, Hope Stump and Scott Perkins. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Charles Doyle officiating. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel after 12:00 noon Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mitzi to the UVA Transplant Fund, 265 Transplant Program, Charlottesville, Va. 22908.
