Earl R. White, age 97, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991, in a local nursing home. Mr. White was a retired Realtor. He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Florence Bowman White. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law; Thelma W. and Dr. George Kromhout, Hillsborough, Calif.; Dorothy W. and Professor Erich Steiner, Ann Arbor, Mich; a brother, Clarence M. White; a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Auborn Akers, all of Roanoke; five grandsons, two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Central Church of the Brethren. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. The Rev. David A. Yingling will officiate. Entombment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 12:00 noon Thursday where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
