ANN C. PECK, formerly of Roanoke, has been appointed vice president, cost accounting manager of SunBank of Tampa Bay. Peck started with SunTrust at Trust Company Bank of Atlanta in 1979. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Hollins College and a master's degree in finance from Georgia State University.

\ CHRISTINE L. JONES of Chaney, Thomas, Stephenson & Hill Inc. in Roanoke has been recognized by the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters and The Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters for completing the necessary requirements in the Continuing Professional Development Program.

\ MARK HUMPHREYS of 2845 Embassy Circle recently was recognized by the Eureka Co as the top salesperson in a four-state area during January 1991. His performance was evaluated on sales, dealer development and merchandising activity for both domestic and commercial vacuum cleaner sales.

\ JOHN W. FELTON, son of Mary Felton of Friendship Manor, was named the 1991 Public Relations Professional of the Year for McCormick & Co. in Hunt Valley, Md. Felton, corporate vice president, was selected by his peers for exemplary leadership in public relations, creativity, and dedicated service to art and civic organizations. He is formerly of Roanoke.

\ VICTOR M. EBERT SR. has been appointed store manager at Lowe's of Teays Valley, W.Va.

\ TONY MULLINS and FRANK FOLEY have been recognized at Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York. Mullins, who has been with the company 18 months, was recognized as the leading agent for 1990. Foley qualified for the 1990 Million Dollar Round Table for the ninth year.

\ BEVERLY K. REGER, a registered nurse and coordinator of the Day Treatment Center at the Salem Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, received the 11th Annual Secretary's "Hands on the Heart" award.

The award is given annually to recognize and pay tribute to an employee who displays outstanding efforts with patient care.

\ ROBIN A. SAUL, son of George and Marie Saul of Roanoke, has been named vice president of The Virginia Pilot and The Ledger Star, a division of Landmark Communications. Saul will oversee production activities and direct manufacturing and distribution of the newspaper.

Saul joined the newspaper in 1978 as circulation manager and most recently was production director. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina.

\ GREG SNODGRASS has been named a top achiever for Orkin Pest Control. Snodgrass, manager of the company's Roanoke office, was named to Orkin's President's Managers Council, which each year honors outstanding performance among its managers throughout the country.

\ ANDREW M. HUDICK, a certified financial planner, has earned a master of science degree with an emphasis in retirement planning, from the College for Financial Planning's Master of Science degree program.

Hudlick also is member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners.

\ WILLIAM A. BAYSE, a 1958 Roanoke College graduate and Salem native, has been awarded the Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service, the second highest award granted in the Department of Justice.

Bayse is assistant director of the technical services division for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

He is a graduate of Roanoke Catholic High School His mother, Helen Bayse, lives in Salem.

\ CLASIE P. ARCHER, has been named Outstanding Member for 1990 by The Roanoke chapter of Professional Secretaries International. Archer is employed as administrative assistant to Richard B. Lewis II, president of ITT's Electro-Optical Products Division, and joined the Roanoke chapter in May 1967.

\ MICHAEL S. MILLER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Miller of Roanoke, has been named senior executive officer of First Investors Corp., a New York City marketer of 25 mutual funds. Miller formerly was a partner in a Washington law firm where he practiced for 13 years.
