GLEN LYN MAN SENTENCED ON DRUG CONVICTION

A Glen Lyn man, arrested with 18 grams of cocaine in his car last July, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession and distribution drug charges and was sentenced to seven years in prison by Pulaski County Circuit Judge A. Dow Owens.

David Eugene Robertson, 25, was stopped by police near Claytor Lake on July 23 after they received a tip that he was transporting cocaine in his car. Robertson later said he had been helping another person in the car distribute the drug.

Owens also sentenced a Radford man on Tuesday to three years in prison on grand larceny charges. William Arthur Wade Jr. pleaded guilty to taking several hundred dollars from the cash register of the Foodette store on Virginia 114 in Fairlawn last June.

His wife, Cindy Fallon Wade, also was charged in the theft and pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
