Madie Lee Shvely, age 79 of Route 1, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991 in a Roanoke hospital. She was the widow of Ervin W. Shively. Surviving are three daughters, Helen Poe Dennis, Betty S. Rakes and Barbara S. Turner, all of Ferrum; two sons, Aubra Shively, Collinsville; Oliver Shively, Ferrum; a special foster son, William (Boo) Atkins, Ferrum; two sisters, Zonie Shively and Lonie Brogan, both of Rocky Mount; one brother, Elmer Snead, of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Lynch Chapel, Rocky Mount by Rev. Lawrence Snead. Interement will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call Lynch Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Friday where family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
