Alberta Gaye Worley, age 59 of Route 2, died Wednesday, April 3, 1991 in the Rocky Mount Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Charlie Worley; four daughters, Charlotte Tennison and Connie Britt, both of Burk, Va.; Jane Worley, of Norfolk; and Sharon Baker, Hampton; two sons, Kenneth Worley, of Ferrum; Darel Worley, Bassett; mother, Laura H. Rakes; five sisters, Altrude Shively, Ferrum; Mildred DeHart, Floyd; Edna Duncan and Rena Stone, both of Bassett; Judy Hale, Ferrum; five brothers, Orben Rakes, Richard Rakes and Lane Rakes, all of Bassett; Hubert Rakes and Cleo Rakes, both of Ferrum; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Lynch Chapel, Rocky Mount by Rev. Joe Crandall. Interement will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Friday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Ferrum Rescue squad.
