BOONES MILL - Grifton Andy Poff, age 84, of Boones Mill, died Thursday. He was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Alfred and Norris E. Poff. He is survived by his wife, Effie B. Poff, daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Sam Hofawger, King, N.C.; Marlene (Molly) Moore, Rocky Mount; Everlene and Billy Altice, Rocky Mount; Peggy and Billy Walters, Richmond; Carolyn and James Conner, Roanoke; Barbara and Ronnie Turner, Boones Mill; two brothers, Alfred L. Poff, Roanoke; Walter Poff, High Point, N.C.; two sisters, Dora Jennings, Roanoke; Agnes Roberson, Roanoke; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at Lotz Roanoke Chapel by Rev. John L. Wilson with burial in Sherwood Memorial Park.
