OBIT-BROWN, N.

Nora Lee Brown, age 66, of Vinton, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and is survived by a son, Jim Brown; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and H. Vernon Burroughs, all of Vinton; four grandchildren, Joy, Eddie, John, and Eric; a sister, Estelle Sowell; and a special "sister", Mary Green, both of Brookneal. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Daniel Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003-0554). Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
