Kenneth Roger Manke, age 47, of the 4600 block of Mallard Crescent, Portsmouth died on Tuesday, April 2, 1991 in a Texas hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Watertown, Wis. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 21 years service, employed at Coastwise (Amoco), and a member of Sweethaven Baptist Church in Portsmouth. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. Manke; three daughters, Deborah A. Manke, Christina J. Manke and Jessica L. Manke, all of Portsmouth; his mother, Hazel Ebel Manke of Greenville; and one sister, Janet Gruszkowski of Greenfield, Wis. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin by the Rev. Larry Ousley. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Va., is handling arrangements.
