HOLLANDSWORTH, COLLIE E.

Collie Elzick Hollandsworth, age 85, died Friday, April 5, 1991 in a Catawba hospital. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff of Floyd County, and Floyd Town Sergeant. He served on the Floyd County Board of Supervisors for twelve years, and many years with the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Dept. He was an Elder of the Indian Valley Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by one son, J.C. Hollandsworth, and a daughter, Loraine Criner. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Moore Hollandsworth; four sons and daughters-in-law, Cline and Ethelene Hollandsworth, Roanoke; Jabe and Wanda Hollandsworth, Christiansburg; Loring and Iva Dell Hollandsworth, Floyd; Andrew Garrett and Joyce Hollandsworth, Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter, Minerva Phillips, Floyd; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Graham Hollandsworth, Christiansburg; three sisters, Pearlie Mitchell, Radford; Clyde Wade, Greenwood, S.C.; Versie Phillips, Indian Valley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bryan Childress officiating. Burial will be in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the Maberry Funeral Home.
