SUSAN BENTLEY TO JOIN EPISCOPAL PRIESTHOOD

The ordination to the Episcopal priesthood of the Rev. Susan Emmons Bentley is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Roanoke.

Bentley will be ordained there, where she was Christian education director, because it has more space. For the past nine months she has been a part-time assistant in the role of an ordained deacon at Grace Episcopal Church in Radford.

Dr. John H. Westerhoff, a specialist in liturgical education who teaches at Duke University Divinity School in Durham, N.C., will preach at the ordination service.
