COLLIE HOLLANDSWORTH, EX-FLOYD OFFICIAL, DIES

Collie Elzick Hollandsworth, who died at Catawba Hospital, served on the Floyd County Board of Supervisors for 12 years and volunteered with the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department.

Hollandsworth was an elder of the Indian Valley Presbyterian Church.

His funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bryan Childress officiating. Burial will be in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
