Joseph L. Wright, age 54, of Roanoke and formerly of Annapolis, Md., died Saturday April 6, 1991, in the Cancer Center of Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Patricia A. Wright; mother, Louise Wright; aunts and uncles, Mary and Petie Witt, Joyce and Laury Booth; nephews, Laury Lee Booth and Porter Booth, all of Roanoke; aunt and uncle, Maxine and Marshall Wright; uncle, Warren Wright, all of Dayton, Ohio; two nieces, Kathy Williams and Susan Place, both of Columbus, Ohio. A private memorial service for the family and close friends will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 1991. Dr. Harry Y. Gamble will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Annapolis, Md. The family does not wish to receive flowers and suggest that in lieu of, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
