Richard L. Isner, age 57, of Roanoke, died Friday at his residence. He was a thirty-five year employee of Appalachian Power Company, a twenty-three year member (and life member) of the Cave Spring Rescue Squad, and was involved with various Little League sports in Roanoke County. Surviving are his wife, Joyce A. Isner; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard L. and Melissa N. Isner, Roanoke; two daughters and a son-in-law, Toni L. and Richard H. Overby, Raleigh, N.C.; Joni L. Isner, Herndon, Va.; his mother, Nina R. Isner, Charleston, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Richard L. Isner III and Whitney R. Isner, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, 1991 from College Lutheran Church, Salem, with the Rev. Dwayne J. Westermann and the Rev. Robert R. Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to College Lutheran Church or the Cave Spring Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
