OBIT POOLE, M.

Mrs. Mildred F. (Millie) Poole, age 74, of Roanoke, died in a Roanoke hospital Friday night. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Republican Women's Club and was a former free lance writer. Surviving are her husband, Leland Dwight Poole, Roanoke; one son, G. Thomas Poole, Palm Springs, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley P. Sweeney, Roanoke; Barbara P. McDaniel, Green Bay, Wis.; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at St. John's Episcopal Church at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. James Drinard Smith. Burial will be private. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
