MAROONS LOSE 8-7 IN LACROSSE ACTION

Kevin Knox scored four goals, including the game-winner with four minutes left to play Saturday, to lead Washington College to an 8-7 lacrosse victory over Roanoke.

The Maroons (4-5) tied the score at 6 on a goal by Don Treacy and took the lead when Brett Smith scored with 10:38 to play.

Washington (2-5) won by scoring twice in the final 5 1/2 minutes. -
