ROANOKER FINISHES 18TH IN BIATHLON

Mike Glowczynski of Roanoke placed 18th overall and second in the 18-25 age group in Saturday's Pizza Hut Biathlon.

The biathlon included a 10K run and 40K bicycle ride. Glowczynski negotiated the course in 1 hour, 43 minutes and 21 seconds.

Three other Roanokers competed: Jim Deyerle finished 22nd overall in 1:46.40, Wendell Scott finished in 1:52 and Frank Martin in 2:13. - Staff report
