The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Robert F. Renjilian officiated the candlelight ceremony. Mrs. Jeannie Malott of Richmond read the scripture.
Mrs. Donna H. Jackson was her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Brenda C. Hawthorne of Richmond, sister of the bride; Miss Christina L. Rogers of Fairfield, Conn., cousin of the bride; Mrs. Carol H. Waugh of Wake Forest, N.C., and Mrs. Wendy L. Bowles of Richmond. The flower girl was Miss Lacey Viar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Viar of Lynchburg.
The best man was Mr. James Paxton Davis, III, of Lexington. Ushers were William R. Lawrence of Richmond, brother of the groom, Stephen M. Hawthorne of Farmville, brother of the bride, Raymond L. Peters of Culpeper, uncle of the bride, Timothy C. Jackson of Richmond, brother-in-law of the bride and William R. Rogers of Fairfield, Conn., cousin of the bride.
The bride's gown was created and made especially for the bride by Mrs. James Hasslacher of Richmond. It was made of candlelight satin with hand beaded lace. The bridesmaids wore red princess style dresses and carried multi-colored bouquets featuring single candles at each center.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Mary P. Hawthorne and Mr. Charles Llewellyn Hawthorne of Richmond. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Marshall Lawrence, Jr. of Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. William A. Reynolds of Charlottesville, aunt and uncle of the groom were honored guests.
The couple will make their home in Lexington.
