VANOVER-KING
Karen Lynn King and Michael David Vanover were married April 6, 1991, at
Saint Andrew's Catholic Church with Father Donald LeMay officiating. The
reception was held at the Roanoke Airport Sheraton. The matron of honor was
Joy Smith, friend of the bride, of Roanoke. The bridesmaids were Allison
Boney, sister of the groom, of Bettendorf, Iowa; Marilyn Montano of Roanoke;
Becky Fletcher of Bristol, both friends of the bride. The best man was Brian
Vanover, brother of the groom. The ushers were Jeff King of Wytheville and
Michael King of Johnson City, Tenn., both brothers of the bride; and Steve
Boney of Bettendorf,Iowa, brother-in-law of the groom. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. King of Wytheville. She graduated from
Wytheville Community College and is employed as Sales Director at the Roanoke
Athletic Club. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David R. Vanover, Yorba
Linda, Calif. He graduated from North Carolina State University and is
employed as a Control Systems Engineer with G.E. in Salem. The newlyweds will
live in Roanoke after the wedding trip to Saint Lucia, West Indies.
