SHAWSVILLE - Everett Lewis Carlyle, age 66, of New Town Road, died early Sunday, April 7, 1991, in Lewis-Gale Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rowena Pearl Carlyle, and a sister, Pearl Ford. Surviving are his wife, Edith Stinson Carlyle; a son, Dennis Lewis Carlyle of Blacksburg; a grandson, Dennis Lewis Carlyle II; four sisters, Ethel Lunsford, Orpha Lunsford, Sarah Maddron, all of Newport, Tennessee; Helen Dockery, Palatka, Florida; one brother, W.B. Carlyle of Greenville, S.C.; and many friends. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday from White Memorial United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Keith Ritchie. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Woodbine Baptist Church Cemetery near Manassas, Va. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Monday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg.
