FESTIVAL RAISES MONEY FOR NON-PROFIT GROUP

American Indians, dressed in their native garb, performed traditional dances at a festival celebrating their culture and heritage.

Representatives from tribes throughout Virginia, Maine and North Carolina - Chickahominy, Rappahannock, Nansemond, Pamunkey and Penobscot - gathered to watch the swirl of colorful dancers and to pass along tradition at the "Gathering of Nations" festival held at Upper Wolfsnare Plantation.

The festival was organized by the Princess Anne County-Virginia Beach Historical Society and Education And Resources To Help, or EARTH, a South Dakota-based non-profit group dedicated to providing physical, emotional and spiritual healing to all people.
