Our devoted Mrs. Devater Powell Jennings, departed this life on Sunday morning, April 7, 1991. She resided at 8th St. N.W. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Alwyn C. Jennings, Richmond; one son, Raymond W. Jennings, Sr., Roanoke; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Melva D. Jennings, Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Elsie P. Williams, Washington, D.C.; two brothers and one sister-in-law; Raymond Powell; Robert and Odessa Powell; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Walter and Annie Jennings, Thaxton; Mrs. Beatrice Jennings, Hampton; four grandchildren, Raymond W. Jennings, Jr., Hampton; Kurt L. Jennings, Mark A. Jennings, and Lorraine (Toni) A. Jennings, all of Roanoke; one granddaughter-in-law, Pricilla D.
