TECH SYMPHONY BAND TO PERFORM CONCERT

Virginia Tech's 90-member University Symphony Band will present a spring concert Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Blacksburg High School Auditorium. David McKee, in his first season as director, will be joined by guest conductors Linda Hartley and Glenn Lilly.

The band will perform selections by Gustav Holst, Guiseppe Verdi and Henry Fillmore. Dayl Burnett, an instructor of trombone in the music department, will perform a solo number, "Annie Laurie," originally written and performed by Arthur Pryor, trombonist with the Sousa band.

Admission to the concert is $2, and tickets will be available at the door.
