NCR MAKES NO SHIFT IN STANCE ON SALE

The chairman of NCR Corp. said Sunday that he would not recommend a sale of the computermaker to American Telephone and Telegraph Co. for less than $110 a share, or $7.45 billion.

The price has been rejected several times by AT&T.

The chairman, Charles E. Exley Jr., said he had talked with Robert E. Allen, AT&T's chairman, Sunday and that he told him he would like the companies' advisers to continue meeting.

The companies apparently made no progress over the weekend toward a negotiated merger. - The New York Times
