EDUCATION SECRETARY TO VISIT GILES SCHOOLS

James Dyke, Jr., state secretary of education, will spend Thursday in Giles County. He will tour schools, meet with school officials, visit the Hoechst-Celanese Corp. and be briefed on the partnership activities of county schools, local businesses and industries.

The activities will start at noon at Hoechst-Celanese with a luncheon meeting. Dyke then will be given a school bus tour of schools ending at Eastern Elementary with a meeting of teachers and administrators. A 5:30 p.m. dinner is scheduled with the School Board and the Board of Supervisors at the School Board office.
