The youth, who is not being identified because of his age, was in Roanoke Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for that and two other larceny offenses, according to Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Vaso Tahmin.
Substitute Judge Pat Doherty ordered the youth to spend an indefinite time in a state facility for juvenile offenders.
The 15-year-old was shot the night of Oct. 3 as he tried to break into a home on Stewart Avenue.
