Mary Kate Tyree, age 72, of Route 7, Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She is survived iby her husband, Robert Lee Tyree of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Patsy Venable, Baltimore, Md.; Ms. Rhonda Tyree, Rocky Mount; Mrs. Ferris (Rita) Murphy, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Vernon (Cynthia) Wilson, Youngstown, Ohio; one son, Thomas W. Tyree, Rocky Mount; five sisters, Ms. Ethel Tyree, Rocky Mount; Mrs. Martha Preston, Roanoke; Mrs. Louie Kasey, N.Y.; Mrs. Nannie Stanley, Rocky Mount; Mrs. Eveline Tyree, Rocky Mount; one brother, Mr. Billy Tyree, Cleveland, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Stanfield Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. from the Morningside Baptist Church. The Rev. Silas G. Moore will officiate. Interment will be in the Tyree Family Cemetery. Arrangements by Stanfield Mortuary Service, Rocky Mount, Va.
