John Edward Newby, Jr., age 34, died Saturday, April 6, 1991 in Baltimore, Md. Surviving are his parents, John E. and Margie A. Newby, Christiansburg; a brother, Roy Phillip Newby, Christiansburg; two sisters, Brenda Jane Hucik, Christiansburg, Pamela Sue Newby, Blacksburg; and his grandparents, Mrs. Virginia Altizer, Morris and Elsie Jones, all of Christiansburg. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Robert E. Crawford. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
