OBIT STEVENS, C.

Calvin H. Stevens, age 67, of Roanoke passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday morning. Mr. Stevens was retired from General Electric Corp. He was a long time member of Cave Spring Fire Dept. and a member of Virginia Heights Masonic Lodge #324 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite Bodies. He was an active member of Grandin Court Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dove T. Stevens; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis T. and Donna S. Stevens, Roanoke; daughters and son-in-law, Sue S. and Joe D. Thurston, Roanoke; Debbie A. Stevens, Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Mrs. Irene Turner, Vinton; Mrs. Gordis Horsley, Roanoke; grandsons, Christopher Stevens; Josh Thurston; granddaughters, Lori T. Schilling; Stephanie Thurston; Tiffany Stevens. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Grandin Court Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert M. Hamner and Carol Harrington will officiate. Interment with Masonic Rites will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
