Howard Leon Jones, age 47 of Roanoke and Pembroke, Va., died Tuesday morning in a Roanoke hospital. He was preceded in death by a brother, David and a niece, Lisa. He is survived by his parents, Johnny P. and Ruth Lafon Jones of Pembroke; three brothers and their families, Randy Jones, (Sandy, David and April) of Centerville, Va.; Kevin Jones (Teresa, Tyler and Trevor) of Christiansburg, Va.; Timmy Jones (April and Crystal) of Pembroke, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 11:00 in the First United Methodist Church, Pembroke, with the Rev. Lowell Stovall and the Rev. Eugene Chafin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements.
