Extended hours were set up by the Board of Supervisors to cut down on long lines at the treasurer's office in days immediately before the April 15 deadline.
In addition to the treasurer's regular busines hours, decals will be on sale at the Virgil Goode Building from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and Thursday; 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors hired county workers to sell vehicle decals during evening and weekend hours before the April 15 deadline. The sales were not conducted by the Franklin County Treasurer, as a headline accompanying an April 10 story indicated.
