Ruth Richardson McCutchen, age 77, of 15118 Timber Village Road, Groveland, Fla., died Sunday, April 7, 1991. Born in Roanoke County January 11, 1914 a daughter of James and Nora (Wertz) Richardson. On April 9, 1942 she married William Lindsey McCutchen in Salem, Va. She moved to Groveland in 1976 from Roanoke. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Groveland. Surviving are her husband, William; daughter, Lynn Ellen Thompson, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary "Scottie" and Travis L. Whately, Roanoke; brother, Dennis R. Richardson, Annville, Md.; sister, Hazel R. Bolger, Aurora, Colo.; grandchildren, Laura Lynn Thompson, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; Scott Thompson; Angela Whately; Mitch Whately, all of Roanoke; one great-grandson, Adam Thompson, Roanoke. A memorial service will be held in Groveland, Fla. Arrangements by Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, Fla.
