OBIT MCPEAK, C.

Charles William McPeak, age 72, passed away Wednesday in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Opal Nolen McPeak, Christiansburg; four sisters, Annie Boon, Christiansburg; Iva Cooper and Ocie Robertson, both of Roanoke; Evelyn Dodd, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Raymond McPeak, Radford. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with Pastor Jerry C. Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Hickman Cemetery in Radford, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd. Friday the body will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon for visitation before the service.
