INTERMET WINS AWARD FOR QUALITY AT PLANT

Intermet's Radford plant recently earned the Ford Q1 Preferred Quality Award, which entails a comprehensive review of plant quality practices and performance.

Satisfaction of customers is a major consideration in determining if the award should be given.

Radford Plant General Manager Vince Clark was present to receive the award at a luncheon in Dearborn, Mich.

Intermet Corp. and its subsidiaries, with foundries in five states and three foreign countries, manufacture precision iron parts for automotive and industrial customers in North America, Europe and Asia. The Radford Foundry makes automotive castings for Ford.
