SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE GROUP'S DIRECTOR QUITS

Ron Pasmore has announced his resignation as executive director of the Smith Mountain Lake Partnership.

Pasmore, who came to work for the partnership in December 1989, said he will pursue a job with a Greensboro, N.C., glass company. His resignation is effective at the end of the month.

Pasmore said he would keep his residence at the lake and remain active on partnership committees.

The partnership's board has begun a search for a new director to head the group's promotional work for the lake, Pasmore said.
