CUNAH POWERS UVA PAST TECH IN BASEBALL

Right fielder Steve Cunah hit two home runs and three Virginia pitchers combined on a three-hitter to lead the Cavaliers past Virginia Tech 5-2 in a non-conference college baseball game at Madison County High School.

Starter Todd Fiegel (3-2), Todd Ruyak and Kevin Stock combined to strike out 16 Hokies for Virginia (19-12-2). Stock earned his third save.

Tech (14-16) plays host to Old Dominion at 3 today at English Field.
